This week, end-use consumption in the lead-acid battery market showed little significant change. Lead prices reversed to a downtrend, cooling expectations for price hikes in the battery wholesale market. Although top-tier enterprises issued price increase notices—for instance, e-bike lead-acid batteries were planned to rise by 10-20 yuan per set—dealers expressed no expectations of battery price increases and maintained just-in-time procurement only. On the producer side, after lead ingot prices fell below the 17,000 yuan mark, some enterprises intended to buy the dip, but more had ample lead ingot inventory and adopted a cautious procurement approach, resulting in low trading activity in the spot market.
