Secondary Lead Finished Product Inventories Declined, Expected to Maintain Downward Trend Next Week [SMM Secondary Lead Inventory Weekly Review]

SMM, January 23:

This week, secondary lead weekly finished product inventories decreased by 2,700 mt WoW to 33,000 mt. After lead prices fell, downstream battery producers' willingness to purchase improved; however, secondary lead suppliers maintained firm offers due to high costs, prompting downstream enterprises to make just-in-time procurement in the primary market, limiting the decline in secondary lead finished product inventories. Next week, as production growth at secondary lead smelters slows down and downstream enterprises increase their enthusiasm for stockpiling ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, SMM expects secondary lead finished product inventories to maintain a downward trend.
