The average operating rate of primary lead smelters in three provinces was 66.85% this week (January 18, 2026 - January 22, 2026), down 0.19 percentage points WoW.
This week, operations in Henan remained stable, with marginal output fluctuations at some small plants. In Hunan, after production resumed following crude lead maintenance at one smelter, primary lead output increased slightly and stabilized; at another smelter, primary lead production declined this week after crude lead maintenance but has not yet fully halted. In Yunnan, smelters maintained stable production this week. In other regions, routine maintenance at a smelter in south China was fully restored by the weekend, while another smelter in east China that had previously suspended operations for maintenance resumed production, with partial restoration of primary lead production lines this week.
