General Administration of Customs: China's Copper Cathode Imports in December Fell 27% YoY, Breakdown of Data

Data from the Customs Statistics Online Query Platform showed that China's copper cathode imports in December 2025 totaled 298,027.32 mt, down 2.19% MoM and down 27.00% YoY.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) was the largest source of imports, with 118,488.30 mt of copper cathode imported from the DRC during the month, down 17.48% MoM and down 29.36% YoY.

Russia was the second largest source, with 27,701.59 mt of copper cathode imported from Russia in December, up 136.10% MoM and up 15.01% YoY.

Note: 1. Includes unwrought copper cathode with a copper content >99.9935%; unwrought other refined copper cathode; unwrought refined copper wire rods; unwrought refined copper cathode sections; unwrought refined copper billets; and other unwrought refined copper.

2. The total import volume (total) also includes data from origins not listed in the table above.
