PTAB Upholds Canadian Solar's Claims, Invalidates Maxeon's TOPCon Cell Patents in US

Recently, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued its final decision regarding the validity of TOPCon cell patents asserted by Maxeon Solar Corporation (hereinafter ‘Maxeon’) against Canadian Solar Inc. (hereinafter ‘Canadian Solar’): The Board upheld multiple invalidity claims raised by Canadian Solar, declaring all contested claims of the patents used by Maxeon in its US litigation against the Canadian Solar Group invalid.
