Yongqing Indonesia Industrial Park's High-Carbon Ferrochrome Production Exceeds 1 Million mt in 2025

On December 31, 2025, PT Qingfeng Ferrochrome Indonesia (QFF) in the Morowali Industrial Park successfully achieved its annual production and operation targets. The total physical production of high-carbon ferrochrome for the year exceeded 1 million mt, reaching the million-mt level for the first time and setting a new annual production record since the company commenced operations. This milestone signifies a leap forward in the enterprise's large-scale and stable production capacity.

On December 31, 2025, Indonesia Qingfeng Ferrochrome Co., Ltd. (QFF) in the Morowali Industrial Park successfully achieved its annual production and operation targets. The total physical production of high-carbon ferrochrome exceeded 1 million mt for the year, reaching the million-mt level for the first time and setting a new annual production record since the company commenced operations. This milestone signifies a leap in the enterprise's large-scale and stable production capacity.

This achievement is a concentrated reflection of QFF's continuous efforts to synergize process technology upgrades with management system optimization. Through systematic optimization of key links, the company's production organization capability and system operational efficiency have been consistently improved, while equipment operational stability and load levels have been simultaneously enhanced, laying a solid foundation for the sustained release of capacity potential.

Focusing on the core production process of high-carbon ferrochrome, QFF has continued to deepen the optimization of its process system. By increasing total production power, improving the low-supplement input mechanism, and strengthening power factor control, among other precise measures, the company has continuously enhanced electrical energy utilization efficiency and equipment operational levels. Without significantly increasing unit energy consumption, multiple process improvements were implemented synergistically, effectively breaking through key bottlenecks constraining capacity enhancement and significantly improving single-furnace output capability, providing robust technical support for exceeding the annual production target of 1 million mt.

At the management level, QFF has continuously innovated its safety management model, establishing a closed-loop control mechanism of "inspection, rectification, review, and closure," achieving a process for hazard management that is traceable and verifiable. Simultaneously, the company integrated DuPont's safety management philosophy into its "Three-Two-One" safety management guiding principle, continuously optimizing and refining it based on practical production conditions, gradually forming a safety management system with QFF characteristics and steadily improving safety management standards.

Qin Huaxiang, General Manager of QFF, stated that in 2025, the company consistently adhered to the core principle of "Safety, Environmental Protection, and Efficiency." Under high-load and stable production pace conditions, the high level of safety management provided a solid guarantee for the continuous release of capacity and the achievement of stable, high production.

Exceeding an annual high-carbon ferrochrome production of 1 million mt is not only a significant milestone in QFF's development history but also injects strong momentum into the synergistic development of the industrial park's industry chain. This achievement significantly enhances the park's raw material supply capability for high-carbon ferrochrome, more precisely matches the production pace of downstream steel enterprises, and provides strong support for the stable and controllable supply of this key raw material.

With stable localized raw material supply, downstream enterprises in the park have further reduced their reliance on external market fluctuations and cross-regional logistics. Comprehensive costs have been effectively reduced, leading to the continuous enhancement of the overall competitiveness and operational resilience of the industry chain.

An annual production of 1 million mt is a phased achievement and, moreover, a new starting point. Entering a new phase of development, QFF will continue to leverage technological innovation to overcome bottlenecks, implement closed-loop governance to secure the baseline, and enhance efficiency through lean collaboration, prioritizing safety, environmental protection, and high efficiency to drive continuous improvement in key performance indicators.

Qin Huaxiang stated that the achievement of a 1 million mt capacity marks a further maturation of QFF's capabilities in large-scale and refined operations. In 2026, the company will pursue high-quality development through continuous improvement, gradually transforming "today's records" into "tomorrow's norms," and continuously creating greater value for the park and the group.
