LCO: Prices Rise in Tandem, Cost Transmission Is the Main Factor

iconJan 8, 2026 18:16

The LCO market operated steadily this week, with no significant changes on the demand side. The price increase primarily stemmed from the transmission of upstream raw material costs. Currently, cathode plants have raised their offers for standard-grade products to above 385,000 yuan/mt, while offers for high-voltage grades reached around 400,000 yuan/mt, which largely align with current transaction prices. LCO price trends are closely linked to those of upstream Co3O4 and lithium carbonate, and prices are expected to continue rising in the near term, following the upward movement of these two key raw materials.
