MIIT Unveils Plan to Boost Industrial Internet-AI Integration, Innovation

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Action Plan for the Integration and Empowerment of Industrial Internet and Artificial Intelligence." It proposes accelerating innovation in technology and products. It encourages AI enterprises, industrial internet enterprises, and industrial control enterprises to jointly promote the intelligent upgrade of industrial communication chips, industrial sensors, industrial terminals, and industrial control systems, gradually deepening the application of humanoid robots. AI will be used to optimize the development processes and models of industrial software, enhancing capabilities such as proactive optimization and assisted generation, thereby lowering development barriers and costs. R&D will focus on general-purpose tool products like intelligent production scheduling management software and self-optimizing process parameter software. Efforts will be made to promote AI-driven innovation in cybersecurity technology. The alignment of standards between the industrial internet and AI will be strengthened, improving the industrial internet architecture integrated with AI technology, and enhancing the promotion and application of standards.
