Announcement on the Adjustment of Domestic Futures Selling Prices for Baosteel's Sheets & Plates in February and March 2026

After research and decision, Baosteel's adjustments to the domestic sales prices of sheets & plates for February and March 2026, based on the January 2026 prices, are announced as follows (all prices below are exclusive of tax unless otherwise specified):

  I. Hot Rolling

  The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

   II. Thick Plate

      The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  III. Pickling

    The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  IV. Cold Rolling

   The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  V. Hot-Dip Galvanizing

   The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  VI. Electrogalvanization

   The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  VII. Chalco Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium

   The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  VIII. High-Aluminum Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium

     The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

       IX. Aluminum-Zinc Coating

    The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  X. Color Coating

     The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  XI. Non-Oriented Silicon Steel

   The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

    XII. GO Silicon Steel

   The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

   XIII. Seamless Steel Tubes

  The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

   XIV. Welded Tubes

   The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  XV. Wire Rod

 The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

  XVI. Bar Steel

 The base price for February remains unchanged, while the price for March is raised by 100 yuan/mt.

 XVII. Adjustments to alloy surcharges and coating/plating surcharges are detailed in the price list for February and March 2026.

 XVIII. This price adjustment notice takes effect from the date of issuance.

 XIX. The Marketing Center of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel International) reserves the right of final interpretation of this price adjustment notice.

This week, ferrous metals were in the doldrums, with coking coal and coke staging a mid-week rise. At the beginning of the week, financial markets experienced sharp fluctuations, dragging down sentiment in the ferrous chain and leading to a pullback in futures. Mid-week, Indonesia's cut to coke production quotas drove coking coal and coke futures to lead the gains, though the impact was more pronounced on thermal coal, while coking coal's rise was largely sentiment-driven and short-lived. In the latter part of the week, finished products continued their seasonal inventory buildup, and support from the raw material side weakened, causing the entire ferrous chain to pull back. In the spot market, with the Chinese New Year holiday approaching, purchasing activity slowed down further, with end-users only making limited, as-needed purchases at low prices.
