According to Miningnews.net, Ballard Mining reported that its infill drilling at the Baldock gold deposit in Western Australia has yielded positive results, with a resource update expected by mid-2026 likely to further expand the current reserve of 400,000–500,000 ounces.

The infill drilling has reached a depth of 350 meters, and Ballard's next drilling target is 750 meters, aiming to extend the mine life of the Mt Ida project to 9–10 years.

The Baldock deposit currently has a resource of 930,000 ounces at a grade of 4.1 grams per mt.

The Mt Ida project is located west of the city of Leonora.

The project is adjacent to the 1.8 million mt per year ore beneficiation plant operated by Canadian enterprise Aurenne Group.

Therefore, Ballard is considered a preferred target for the company.
