【15,000-Ton Spent Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Project Lands in Jiangxi】Recently, the official website of the Xiajiang County People's Government in Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, released the first environmental impact assessment announcement for the "Annual Processing of 15,000 Tons of Spent Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries Expansion Project by a company in Jiangxi Province." The project will construct 6,000 t/a of cascade batteries; lithium iron phosphate battery powder (mixture of positive and negative electrodes) 5,294.454 t/a; ternary lithium battery powder (mixture of positive and negative electrodes) 3,497.412 t/a; lithium iron phosphate electrode sheet powder 2,781.718 t/a; ternary electrode sheet powder 1,877.11 t/a; carbon powder 1,344.349 t/a; copper foil 2,953 t/a; aluminum foil 2,168 t/a.
【100,000-Ton Waste Lithium Battery Recycling Project Lands in Jiangsu Province】Recently, the draft environmental impact report for the "Annual Recycling, Dismantling, and Cascade Utilization of 100,000 Tons of Waste Lithium Batteries Construction Project" in Xinghua City, Jiangsu Province, was released for public comments. The project will recycle 100,000 tons of waste lithium batteries. The types of batteries recycled include lithium battery packs, battery modules, and battery cells. The battery types are lithium iron phosphate batteries and nickel-cobalt-manganese acid lithium batteries (i.e., ternary lithium batteries). It does not involve the recycling and treatment of hazardous waste batteries such as waste lead-acid batteries, waste cadmium-nickel batteries, and waste mercury oxide batteries.
【50,000-Ton Waste Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project Lands in Jiangxi】Recently, the Administrative Approval Bureau of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, released the intended acceptance announcement for the environmental impact report of the "Annual Processing of 50,000 Tons of Waste Lithium Batteries Comprehensive Utilization Project." It is understood that the project has a total investment of 260 million yuan. The construction site is located in Xinhua Industrial Park, Dayu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. After completion, it will process 5,000 tons/year of cascade-usable battery packs, 5,000 tons/year of waste ternary lithium battery cells, 10,000 tons/year of waste positive electrode sheets, 30,000 tons/year of waste negative electrode sheets, with a total processing scale of 50,000 tons/year.
【Guangzhou Waste Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project Lands】Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, released the acceptance announcement for the environmental impact report of the "Guangdong Province New Energy Circular Economy Zero-Carbon Smart Industrial Park Guangzhou Headquarters — Retired Power Battery and Waste Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project." The project uses 30,000 t/a of waste lithium-ion battery packs/modules as raw materials to produce cascade-utilized batteries through cascade utilization processes.
【Jiangxi Fuzhou Power Lithium Battery Recycling Project Lands】Recently, the official website of the Jinxi County People's Government in Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, released the first environmental impact assessment information announcement for the "New Energy Storage Materials Project by a company in Jiangxi Province." The construction site is located in the Chengxi High-Tech Development Zone, Jinxi County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The project involves new construction that uses various valuable metal alloys, scraps, waste ternary lithium batteries, positive/negative electrode materials, graphite powder, etc.
