【SMM Newenergy News】National Bureau of Statistics: Equipment Manufacturing Sector Significantly Drives Profit Growth

On December 27, Yu Weining, Chief Statistician of the Department of Industry Statistics at the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the industrial enterprise profit data for January to November 2025, highlighting the significant driving role of the equipment manufacturing industry. From January to November, profits of large-scale equipment manufacturing enterprises increased by 7.7% year-on-year, driving the profit growth of all large-scale industrial enterprises by 2.8 percentage points, making it the strongest contributor. Sector-wise, 7 out of the 8 major equipment manufacturing categories achieved year-on-year profit growth. Notably, profits in the railway, shipbuilding, and aerospace sector and the electronics sector saw double-digit growth of 27.8% and 15.0%, respectively. The automotive industry saw a 7.5% profit increase, accelerating by 3.1 percentage points compared to the January-October period. Profits in general equipment, special equipment, and electrical machinery continued to grow at 4.8%, 4.6%, and 4.2%, respectively.
