Taesung, a manufacturer of equipment for composite copper foil used in secondary batteries, announced on the 26th that it has signed a joint development agreement with a major domestic conglomerate and an overseas battery company to develop high-performance battery technology for small mobility applications incorporating composite copper foil.
The agreement follows a materials supply contract signed with a domestic company in November and represents a next step in cooperation. According to Taesung, the partnership has been elevated from a simple equipment and materials supply relationship to a “technology alliance” that includes the joint development of core manufacturing technologies.
