Shanghai (Gasgoo)- JAC Group has officially inaugurated its Italian subsidiary in Turin, marking the formal launch of localized operations across the European market, according to a press release issued on JAC Group's WeChat account on December 22.

The opening ceremony signals a new phase in the company's international expansion, as it moves from market entry toward deeper, on-the-ground engagement in Europe.

Italy, long regarded as a cradle of European culture and industrial heritage, offers strategic value for global manufacturers, and Turin stands out as a city that combines industrial depth with innovation-driven momentum. By establishing its subsidiary in Turin, JAC Group is underscoring its confidence in Italy's business environment and in the long-term growth potential of the European automotive market. The company said it will adopt a customer-centric approach, embedding itself more deeply into local market ecosystems while relying on competitive products and a dependable aftersales network to build trust and support sustainable, high-quality growth across Europe.

Beyond its significance for JAC Group's global strategy, the new Italian subsidiary also reflects broader cooperation between China and Italy in advanced manufacturing and green mobility. Looking ahead, JAC Group said it will adhere to a long-term, partnership-driven philosophy, using Turin as a strategic hub to expand across Europe and working closely with local partners to help build a more sustainable and intelligent mobility ecosystem.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
