【SMM Aluminium Flash News】Anhui Xinbo Co., Ltd. invested in a joint venture with three other companies to establish an alloy materials research institute.

Anhui Xinbo Aluminum Co., Ltd. announced that it plans to jointly invest with Weichu New Materials Co., Ltd., Anhui Weichu Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Anhui Zhongxin Technology Co., Ltd. to establish an Alloy Materials Research Institute. The institute will have a registered capital of 30 million yuan, with Xinbo contributing 24.6 million yuan of its own funds, holding an 82% stake. The other three partners will contribute 1.5 million yuan, 1.5 million yuan, and 2.4 million yuan respectively, holding 5%, 5%, and 8% of the shares. The institute is tentatively named Chuzhou Xinbo Alloy Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd., and will be registered in Chuzhou, Anhui Province. It will focus on research and development in six core areas, including high-strength and high-toughness aluminum alloys and high-precision battery aluminum shells. This investment does not require board or shareholder approval and does not constitute a related-party transaction or a major asset restructuring. The establishment of the institute aims to improve research and development capabilities and serve multiple fields such as new energy vehicles and photovoltaics. The company notes that there are risks related to performance and policies, and will disclose further progress later.
