[Guangzhou: Promoting the Construction of the National New-Type Energy Storage Innovation Center] The Guangzhou Municipal People's Government released the "Outline of the Beautiful Guangzhou Construction Plan (2025–2035)" on the 15th. It mentions accelerating the construction of a new-type power system, coordinating and enhancing the flexible regulation capacity of the power system, strengthening demand-side management of electricity consumption, and gradually integrating flexible regulation resources such as public buildings, EV charging and battery swapping facilities, new-type energy storage, and virtual power plants. It encourages and standardizes the demonstration application and large-scale promotion of various new-type ESS projects, including generation-side, grid-side, user-side ESS, and standalone ESS. The construction of the National New-Type Energy Storage Innovation Center is to be promoted. Efforts will be made to accelerate the development of a smart grid adapted to the development and integration of new energy, expedite the digital transformation of the power grid and the construction of a digital grid, promote the deep integration of technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain with the power system, and support the integration of clean energy.
