This week, the LCO market has seen a decrease in activity compared to earlier periods, with downstream demand showing a clear structural divergence across different application segments. On the supply side, there is a stark contrast. The supply of high-capacity LCO (mainly used in 3C products) remains tight, and some upstream producers still have intentions to increase their quotes. In contrast, the C-rate LCO (primarily used in e-cigarettes and drone products) has been affected by a weakening of specific downstream demands, leading to a slight decline in production schedules, and actual transaction prices have seen minor adjustments due to differences in customer structures. Fundamentally, from the demand perspective, the production schedules of major consumer battery cell manufacturing enterprises remain robust, maintaining a strong overall demand for LCO. Overall, given the persistently tight supply-demand situation for high-voltage LCO products, there is still a possibility of a slight price rise in the short term.
