Anhui Pingwei Power Plant's Phase IV 1000 kV Transmission Project Launched on Dec 5

On December 5, the 1,000 kV transmission project for the Phase IV of Anhui Pingwei Power Plant was officially put into operation. As the final project of the "14th Five-Year Plan" ultra-high voltage AC power transmission initiative, it will facilitate the grid connection and power generation of the 2 million kW generating units at Pingwei Power Plant, further meet the growing electricity demand in Anhui Province, and play a significant role in promoting economic and social development. This project serves as the supporting transmission infrastructure for the Phase IV power supply project of Pingwei Power Plant, with a total investment of 255 million yuan. It starts from the 1,000 kV step-up substation at Pingwei Power Plant and ends at the Huainan 1,000 kV ultra-high voltage substation. The project involves the construction of a new 4.83 km single-circuit transmission line, the expansion of the 1,000 kV power distribution facility at Huainan Substation, and the simultaneous implementation of noise reduction modifications for the 1,000 kV high-voltage shunt reactors.
