[Lead-acid Battery Market Information] According to the official website of the GCC Technical Secretariat for Anti-Dumping, Countervailing and Safeguard Measures and Official Gazette Issue 53, the GCC Ministerial Committee composed of Ministers of Industry has officially approved the recommendation of the Standing Committee to impose definitive anti-dumping duties on lead-acid batteries for starting piston engines (HS Code 85071000) originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China and Malaysia.
The investigation results show that definitive anti-dumping duties of 25.8%, 50.7%, and 63.7% will be imposed on three Chinese enterprises (five entities) respectively, 25.8% on non-selected Chinese export producers, and 74% on other enterprises. For two Malaysian enterprises, duties of 43.2% and 68% will be imposed respectively, and 77% on other enterprises. The definitive anti-dumping duties will be levied as ad valorem duties based on a percentage of the product's CIF value and will take effect from January 13, 2026, for a period not exceeding five years.
