On December 2nd, Boliden published its 2026 production outlook, highlighting expected improvements in grades and throughput across several key assets.

At Aitik, copper grades are forecast to improve in the second half of 2026, resulting in a full-year average grade of 0.18%. Throughput remains constrained by the diorite intrusion but is expected to rise to 41 million tonnes.

In the Boliden Area, gold grades are expected to be slightly lower year-on-year, while throughput is set to increase to 1.8 million tonnes.

Garpenberg has received an expanded environmental permit. Although the permit may be appealed, Boliden is allowed to ramp up production during the process. Throughput is expected to increase to 3.7 million tonnes, with zinc and silver grades forecast at 2.9% and 95 g/t, respectively.

At Kevitsa, the increase in mining tax is expected to raise costs by EUR 20–30 million. The copper grade is projected to rise to 0.24%, while nickel grade and throughput will remain in line with 2025 levels.

At Odda, commissioning of the expansion project has been delayed by two months, with first feed now expected in the first quarter of 2026.
