Softer US Manufacturing Data Boosts Rate Cut Odds

The latest US manufacturing data came in softer than expected, signaling a slowdown in economic activity. This data has further cemented market expectations for Federal Reserve easing this month. According to the CME FedWatch tool, the probability of a 25-basis-point rate cut at the December 10 meeting has risen to 87%, up from 63% a month ago, providing macroeconomic support for commodities like copper.
