Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 1, Chinese mobility operator CaoCao Inc. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with robotics manufacturer DOBOT, laying the groundwork for deeper integration of robotics into Robotaxi operations. The collaboration aims to expand how intelligent robots are deployed across fleet management, enhance automation levels in day-to-day vehicle operations, and strengthen the service capabilities needed for large-scale Robotaxi rollouts in the coming years.

Under the partnership framework, the two companies will focus on operational scenarios such as vehicle cleaning, maintenance and charging, exploring ways to automate these processes with advanced robotics. DOBOT's strengths in path-planning algorithms and task execution are expected to help address the highly varied demands of Robotaxi fleet operations, supporting the creation of a safer, greener and more efficient service system.

The companies also plan to jointly develop intelligent Robotaxi service hubs, creating one-stop operational centers designed to streamline fleet management from dispatch to maintenance.

Data collaboration will form another pillar of the partnership. By collecting and analyzing multimodal data in complex, long-tail operating scenarios, CaoCao and DOBOT aim to refine automation algorithms and boost the overall efficiency of Robotaxi operations.

CaoCao serves as Geely Holding Group's primary commercial vehicle for advancing Robotaxi services and has established a comprehensive strategy built around purpose-built vehicles, autonomous-driving technologies and intelligent operations. This combination positions the company among the few global mobility platforms that can provide the full stack required for Robotaxi deployment.

DOBOT, a leading global robotics developer, has built a diverse portfolio spanning collaborative, humanoid and multi-legged robots. Its perception and autonomous-decision systems are already deployed at scale across sectors such as automotive manufacturing and consumer electronics, with more than 100,000 units installed worldwide. This broad deployment experience gives the company a deep understanding of real-world scenarios—expertise it now plans to bring to the next stage of Robotaxi automation.

CaoCao has been steadily broadening its Robotaxi ecosystem throughout 2025. Recent initiatives include incorporating satellite communications and high-precision positioning through a partnership with GEESPACE, exploring asset tokenization with Victory Securities, collaborating with AEROFUGIA on low-altitude mobility networks, and working with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office on autonomous-driving pilots. The new tie-up with DOBOT represents another significant step toward building a diversified, future-focused Robotaxi ecosystem.
