【20,000-Ton Used Power Battery Recycling Project Lands in Jiangxi】 Recently, a relevant website released the second environmental impact assessment public notice for the New Energy Vehicle Used Power Battery Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization Project in the Chating Economic Development Zone, Guangxin District. It is understood that the project, operated by a relevant company, is located in the Chating Economic Development Zone, Guangxin District. The construction is expected to achieve an annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons of used power batteries for recycling. The company responsible was established in August 2025 and is a subsidiary of another company based in Shenzhen. In March 2025, the Shenzhen-based parent company signed a strategic agreement for a comprehensive utilization project of new energy vehicle used power batteries with the People's Government of Qianyang County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, injecting new momentum into Qianyang County's green and low-carbon development. The total investment in this project is 108 million yuan, with a planned area of 22 mu. It will be constructed in two phases, focusing on the recycling, dismantling, and resource utilization of used power batteries, aiming to build an integrated new energy industry chain that combines environmental protection, technology, and circular economy.


【300-Million-Yuan Lithium Battery Recycling Project Signed in Shandong】 Recently, a company in Shandong entered into a deep strategic cooperation with the Jinan Changqing University City Management Committee and a construction company affiliated with the Jinan City Investment Group. They formally signed an agreement for a standardized project involving the tiered utilization and regenerative recycling of 10,000 tons of lithium battery metal resources annually. The total investment for the project is 300 million yuan, and it will be constructed in two phases at a location on Wode Avenue, Changqing District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. The first phase involves an investment of 100 million yuan and will establish a full-chain process including lithium battery storage, dismantling, tiered utilization, crushing and sorting of positive and negative electrode sheets, and warehousing. Construction is expected to start in December 2025 and be completed and operational by March 2026. Upon operation, it will mass-produce high-quality recycled materials such as black mass, copper foil particles, and aluminum foil particles, achieving efficient recycling and reuse of lithium battery resources.


【100,000-Ton Battery Recycling, Dismantling, and Tiered Utilization Project Lands in Guangdong】 Recently, the Huizhou Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau released the acceptance information announcement for the construction project of the "New Energy Lithium Battery Recycling, Dismantling, and Tiered Utilization Project." A company in Guangdong is investing a total of 200 million yuan to construct this project located in Zhenlong Town, Huiyang District, Huizhou City. The project involves the annual recycling and dismantling of 100,000 tons of retired lithium batteries and their tiered utilization. The retired lithium batteries primarily come from electric vehicles (including tricycles) and energy storage systems.


【20,000-Ton Used Lithium Battery and Cathode Sheet Processing Project Lands in Anhui】 Recently, the Chizhou Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau in Anhui Province released the second public participation notice for the environmental impact assessment of the "R&D and Industrialization Project for the Resource Utilization of Used Lithium Batteries and Cathode Sheets" by a local company. The project has a total investment of 300 million yuan and is located in the Anhui Chizhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. It will be constructed in three phases. The first phase is the resource utilization project for used lithium batteries and cathode sheets, involving the purchase of equipment such as continuous ion catalytic roller hearth kiln systems, ultrasonic vibrating screens, and powder negative pressure dense phase pneumatic conveying systems. This phase will establish production lines for the resource utilization of lithium batteries and cathode sheets, achieving an annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons of used lithium batteries and cathode sheets. The second phase involves building a pilot R&D platform (base) for the low-carbon recycling of used lithium batteries. The third phase focuses on the construction of a zero-carbon factory.


【30,000-Ton Used Lithium Battery Recycling and Utilization Project Lands in Jiangxi】 Recently, the People's Government of Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province, released the second information announcement for public participation in the environmental impact assessment of the "New Energy Battery Material Recycling Industry Project." A company plans to invest 60 million yuan to establish the project in the Matou Industrial City, Ruichang City, Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. The plan includes building four production lines: two lines for the precise dismantling and material regeneration of lithium iron phosphate batteries, with an annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons; one line for the precise dismantling of ternary lithium batteries, with an annual processing capacity of 10,000 tons; and one line for material repair (cathode powder recovery), with an annual processing capacity of 8,000 tons.


【12,000-Ton Used Lithium Battery Recycling Project Approved】 Recently, the Hegang Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau in Heilongjiang Province released a notice regarding the intended approval opinions for the environmental impact assessment documents of two projects, including the Hegang Used Lithium Battery Recycling Project. A company in Heilongjiang is investing a total of 190 million yuan in this project, located at a site south of Guangyi Wood Industry in Nanshan District, Hegang City. The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase involves building one used lithium battery processing production line with an annual processing capacity of 6,000 tons (including 5,000 tons of used ternary lithium batteries and 1,000 tons of used lithium iron phosphate batteries). The second phase will involve constructing five production lines within the factory building: three for processing used cathode sheets and two for processing used anode sheets, each with a total annual processing capacity of 6,000 tons for used ternary lithium battery cathode and anode sheets.


【Shandong 110,000-Ton High-Performance Phosphate Cathode Material Project Lands】 Recently, relevant departments in Heze City, Shandong Province, publicly disclosed the acceptance of environmental impact assessment information for the 110,000-ton high-performance phosphate cathode material project invested and constructed by a company. The announcement shows that the project is located in the Juye County Chemical Industry Park in Heze, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, and has currently entered the environmental assessment publicity stage. It is reported that this 110,000-ton high-performance phosphate cathode material project is an expansion. The specific location is within the Juye County Chemical Industry Park, covering an additional area of approximately 33,867 square meters. The production process is largely consistent with the main process of the already constructed lithium iron phosphate cathode material project, and the main product is lithium iron phosphate powder.


【Anhui Project for Annual Tiered Utilization of 100,000 Tons of Vehicle Power Batteries Lands】 Recently, the second environmental impact assessment public notice was released for the relocation and technical renovation project for the tiered utilization of new energy vehicle power batteries by a company in Anhui. The following is the announcement content: This project is a comprehensive recycling and utilization project for renewable resources. After the relocation and technical renovation, it will form an annual production scale for the recycling and utilization of 100,000 tons of new energy vehicle power batteries, with the comprehensive utilization scale remaining unchanged. According to the plan, the project will be constructed in two phases: the first phase with an annual recycling and utilization capacity of 40,000 tons, and the second phase with 60,000 tons of new energy vehicle power batteries. This includes 3,000 tons/year of lithium cobalt oxide batteries (individual units), 6,500 tons/year of ternary lithium-ion batteries, 4,000 tons/year of lithium iron phosphate batteries, 1,500 tons/year of lithium manganate batteries, 30,000 tons/year of cathode sheets (10,000 tons/year in the first phase), and 55,000 tons/year of anode sheets (15,000 tons/year in the first phase).
