In the aluminum industry chain, traders serve not only as the "lubricant" connecting the smelting end with the consumption end, but also as the "buffer" balancing market supply and demand, and even as the "catalyst" driving industrial upgrading.

In the aluminum industry chain, traders serve not only as the "lubricant" connecting the smelting end with the consumption end, but also as the "buffer" balancing market supply and demand, and even as the "catalyst" driving industrial upgrading. In 2025, China's aluminum industry entered a critical period of green transformation and structural adjustment, during which the value of traders in industrial change became increasingly prominent. Against this backdrop, the selection of outstanding traders emerged. This selection activity aims to identify and honor trader groups that have made outstanding contributions to market stability and industrial synergy, set industry benchmarks, promote the aluminum industry chain toward higher efficiency, lower carbon, and greater synergy, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of China's aluminum industry.

To help promote the sustained, healthy, harmonious, and efficient development of the domestic nonferrous metals industry, highlight outstanding enterprises, and set industry benchmarks, SMM Information & Technology Co., Ltd. (SMM) previously conducted the 2025 SMM Nonferrous Metals Industry "Top 10 High-Quality Aluminum Traders" selection activity. This selection employed a comprehensive multi-dimensional evaluation system: first, industry practitioners nominated outstanding trading enterprises; then, a panel of experts specially invited by SMM, comprising leaders from metal industry authorities, industry experts, and heads of upstream/downstream leading and supporting enterprises, conducted professional scoring. Combined with the results of online voting and scores from SMM's enterprise rating model, the final selection identified the 2025 SMM Nonferrous Metals "Top 10 High-Quality Aluminum Traders".

On November 25, at the banquet of the Shanghai Metals Expo (SME) 2025, organizedby SMM Information & Technology Co., Ltd. and SMM Trading Center Co., Ltd., SMM held a grand award ceremony for the 2025 SMM Nonferrous Metals "Top 10 High-Quality Aluminum Traders".

MIIT Symposium Emphasizes Anti-Involution in PV Industry, Advocates for Healthy Competition
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) convened a symposium with entrepreneurs in the PV industry, emphasizing that under the current circumstances, the primary challenge in regulating the PV sector lies in "anti-involution." To address this, comprehensive measures are required, including capacity control, price enforcement, and prevention of monopoly risks. Through market-oriented and rule-of-law approaches, collaborative efforts should be made to steer the PV industry toward healthy competition and rational development.
