Fulaerji Hengcheng 400 MW/800 MWh Standalone ESS Project Completes Filing

On November 26, the Fulaerji Hengcheng 400 MW/800 MWh Standalone ESS Power Station Project completed its filing. The project, led by Heilongjiang Hengchengxin New Energy Co., Ltd., involves a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan. It falls within the field of new-type power system equipment, utilizing LFP battery energy storage technology with a scale of 400 MW/800 MWh. The project consists of 80 energy storage units, each rated at 5 MW/10 MWh, and includes the construction of a 220 kV booster station, which will ultimately be connected to the power grid. Aligned with the direction of new-type energy storage technology applications outlined in the industrial structure guidance catalog, the project will support grid peak shaving and the integration of new energy sources.

[Storage: South Africa to develop 184MW solar and 300MWh storage project]

SolarAfrica has partnered with MPower, the energy platform of the Moolman Group, and Fledge Capital to develop the Highveld Hybrid Energy project near eMalahleni in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The Syrian Electricity Company has signed three agreements with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Harfi Construction to develop solar projects with a combined capacity of 760MW in the Widyan ar-Rabi’ area of Damascus Countryside. The projects will be backed by battery energy storage systems totaling 1,077MW. The agreements follow a February 2026 MoU between PETDE and Al-Harfi Construction for a 210MW solar project supported by an 827MWh BESS facility.
