LCO Market Stabilizes at Highs, Short-Term Price Volatility Risk Remains Low

This week, the domestic LCO market continued to fluctuate at highs, with a relatively stable supply-demand pattern. Quotations for standard models remained steady in the range of 370,000-380,000 yuan/mt, supported by clear pricing logic. On one hand, high prices of upstream cobalt chloride and Co3O4 were transmitted downstream, with the cost side continuing to support LCO prices. On the other hand, purchasing demand from downstream battery cell enterprises remained active, with some consumer electronics companies starting stockpiling early to prepare for next year's orders, extending the procurement cycle and releasing stable incremental demand to the market. Against the backdrop of overall stable raw material prices, LCO prices are expected to maintain current high levels in the short term, with relatively small likelihood of significant fluctuations.
