Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 25, Geely Galaxy rolled its 70,000th A7 sedan off the production line at the company's Guiyang manufacturing hub, reaching the milestone only 110 days after the model's launch. The achievement sets a new delivery speed record for hybrid sedans in the segment and marks another key milestone for Geely Galaxy following its broader success in surpassing one million cumulative sales.

The Galaxy A7 has surged in popularity since hitting the market. Industry data shows its cumulative deliveries reached 10,000 units within 14 days after launch, and posted October sales of 15,888 units—leading China's plug-in hybrid midsize segment for the month. With daily output now approaching 700 vehicles, the A7 has emerged as one of the standout performers in China's 2025 plug-in hybrid electric family-sedan market.

The model's rapid rise is closely tied to its product strengths. The A7 offers a combined driving range exceeding 2,100 kilometers and a notably long 2,845-millimeter wheelbase. These attributes—spanning efficiency, cabin space, performance, and intelligent features—have helped position the A7 as a leading hybrid option among household buyers.

Behind the strong delivery pace is Geely's upgraded Guiyang facility. Earlier this year, the plant completed an intelligent manufacturing overhaul that integrated robotics, advanced automation and digitalized production systems, boosting its annual capacity to 300,000 vehicles. The enhancements have enabled rapid scaling of A7 output while maintaining consistent build quality.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
