[SMM PV News] Indian utility seeks land for new grid-connected solar project

NLC India Ltd., through its subsidiary NLC India Renewables Ltd, has issued a tender to secure and prepare 1,850 acres of land for a solar plant that will feed into the national grid.
The winning bidder must:
- Identify and acquire/lease suitable government or private land in any of eight states: Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu or Telangana.
- Deliver the entire power-evacuation package: design, engineering, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning.
- Build the interstate transmission link for the project.
- Obtain every statutory clearance, permit and NOC related to land and project execution.
- Operate and maintain the pooling substation, associated equipment and extra-high-voltage lines for three years after commissioning.

[SMM PV News] US Small-Scale Solar Hits Record 1.9 GW in Q4 2025

The US solar market reached a new milestone in the final quarter of 2025, with distributed capacity surging to a record 1.9 GW. According to the Institute for Local Self-Reliance (ILSR), solar accounted for 78% of the 46 GW of new national power capacity added last year.
