【SMM Steel】Tata Steel Plans to Develop Kalinganagar Plant into Largest Production Hub

【SMM Steel】Tata Steel has announced plans to develop its Kalinganagar plant in Odisha into its largest production base, targeting 16 million-ton annual capacity. Since commencing operations a decade ago, the company has invested over Rs 500 billion in the facility, expanding capacity from an initial 3 million tons to 8 million tons per year. After the next expansion phase, Kalinganagar will surpass the company's flagship Jamshedpur plant which currently produces 11 million tons annually. Tata Steel's CEO stated the Kalinganagar plant has become a symbol of technological excellence, sustainability and growth alongside Odisha's development.
