SMM, November 24: According to SMM, Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co., Ltd.'s Third Smelter initiated a public tender today for the sale of 66 mt of #1 refined cadmium. Official information indicated the bidding started with a base price set at a discount of 500 yuan/mt, with the highest bidder winning. The tender required at least three registered bidders to proceed. The registration deadline was 17:00 on November 26, 2025, and the bidding started at 15:00 on November 27, 2025. Interested clients needed to register as suppliers on the Longdao platform at www.longdaoyun.com. Market participants noted that cadmium prices showed a weakening trend, with limited buying interest from end-users. Approaching the year-end, terminal stockpiling was likely to increase, making this tender noteworthy as it could reflect the strength of market demand.
