[SMM New Energy] Gotion High-tech Officially Commences Mass Production and Delivery of Standard Battery Cells, to Supply Multiple Platforms Under Volkswagen Group

Gotion High-tech held a mass production and delivery ceremony for its standard battery cell (also known as Unified Cell, abbreviated as UC) in Hefei. This delivery marks the full-scale entry into the mass production phase of the five-year strategic cooperation between Volkswagen Group, its battery cell manufacturer PowerCo, and Gotion High-tech. Meanwhile, Gotion High-tech will supply high-performance LFP and other standard battery cells to Volkswagen Group from 2026 to 2032. It is understood that the standard battery cell is a standardized battery solution characterized by high compatibility, capable of accommodating different chemical systems with a single size and adapting to multiple vehicle platforms. Its core advantages are reflected in technological innovations across various aspects, including integration efficiency, fast charging performance, safety protection, and strong adaptability to low temperatures, and it has secured multiple designated projects from Volkswagen.
