Zhuoyu Technology announced on November 21 that it has secured more than 3.6 billion yuan in strategic funding from China FAW Group.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Zhuoyu Technology announced on November 21 that it has secured more than 3.6 billion yuan in strategic funding from China FAW Group, lifting the technology company's valuation to over 10 billion yuan once the funding completed.

Despite the significant capital infusion, Zhuoyu emphasized that it will continue to operate independently, retaining its existing management, technology roadmap and brand strategy. FAW Group, now a strategic shareholder, will focus on supporting the company through business collaboration and resource integration rather than direct operational control.

FAW Group joins an increasingly diverse investor lineup that already includes New Territory Technology Company Limited, BYD, Hengxu Capital, and BAIC Capital. The shareholder mix reflects broad industry confidence in Zhuoyu's technological direction and commercial scalability.

Zhuoyu's partnership with FAW Group began in April 2024, when the two sides outlined a comprehensive collaboration in smart driving. Their joint work has centered on future Hongqi models, combining Zhuoyu's software and perception expertise with FAW's vehicle-development capabilities to advance high-level autonomous-driving platforms, end-to-end intelligent mobility solutions and next-generation sensor technologies.

The collaboration has since expanded into multiple Hongqi product lines. Zhuoyu's ADAS solutions are now deployed on models including the TianGong 08, TianGong 05, TianGong 06, the 2025 EH7 and the HS6 PHEV. These vehicles support a growing suite of assisted-driving functions such as automated parking, highway navigation and city-level navigation that is usable nationwide.

Models such as the TianGong 05 and 06 also feature Zhuoyu's proprietary inertial-navigation visual system, which fuses binocular bio-inspired imaging with a long-focus monocular sensor to improve long-range perception and the handling of irregular obstacles. Running on Qualcomm's SA8650P platform with an equivalent sparse computing performance of roughly 200 TOPS, Zhuoyu's end-to-end algorithms deliver a smoother, more human-like assisted-driving experience.

Beyond its deepening relationship with FAW, Zhuoyu has also secured partnerships with SAIC-GM-Wuling, Chery, FAW-Volkswagen, Great Wall Motor and BAIC, among others. Its ADAS solutions have already been adopted across a growing roster of mass-market models, underscoring the company's accelerating commercialization and its rising influence within China's evolving autonomous-driving supply chain.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
