On November 14, 2025, according to public information from Longyuan Linwu, Hunan Jiusen New Energy Co., Ltd. successfully trial-produced a 320-370 Wh/kg solid-liquid battery (semi-solid-state battery).

Solid-State Battery and Solid-Liquid Battery Routes and Product Features
The solid-liquid battery achieves an energy density of 320-370 Wh/kg and is applicable in scenarios such as drones, 3C digital products, low-speed vehicles, two-wheelers, and even passenger vehicles. Route: composite electrolyte route, high-nickel + ultra-thin solid electrolyte membrane technology, and new-type additives. Safety: passes extreme conditions such as nail penetration and compression tests, with no smoking or ignition; even when the battery is severely damaged by a steel needle, it can continue to supply power stably for a short period. Sulfide solid-state batteries are expected to undergo trial use in passenger vehicles by the end of 2025 or in H1 2026. After testing is completed, solid-state batteries are planned to be officially installed in vehicles in 2026. Mass production plan for solid-state batteries: mass production is expected to be achieved in 2027, with installation testing starting in 2026.

Battery Routes: Solid-liquid battery (semi-solid-state battery) – composite electrolyte + lithium metal anode; Solid-state battery – sulfide route.

According to SMM projections, all-solid-state battery shipments are expected to reach 13.5 GWh by 2028, while semi-solid-state battery shipments are forecast to reach 160 GWh. By 2030, global lithium-ion battery demand is estimated to be around 2,800 GWh, with the compound annual growth rates from 2024 to 2030 for lithium-ion battery demand in EVs, ESS, and consumer electronics at approximately 11%, 27%, and 10%, respectively. The global penetration rate of solid-state batteries is projected to be around 0.1% in 2025, and is expected to reach about 4% for all-solid-state batteries by 2030. By 2035, the global penetration rate of solid-state batteries may approach 10%.

In January, national passenger car producers' new energy wholesale estimates reached 900,000 units, up 1% YoY.

Canada Announces New EV Strategy, to Collaborate with China

According to CCTV News, on February 5, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a new electric vehicle strategy, including the reinstatement of car purchase subsidies, and stated that Canada will cooperate with China to promote the local production and export of EVs in Canada.
