Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Nov. 10, Dongfeng Motor's eπ brand officially put the eπ007+, an upgraded version of its mid-size fastback sedan, onto the market, with prices starting from 139,900 yuan. Three variants are available, offering both battery-electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (REEV) powertrains.

The eπ007+ accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, delivering ground-hugging performance with its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. The single-motor BEV version achieves up to 650 km CLTC range with an energy efficiency of 89.1% and energy consumption as low as 12.6 kWh/100 km.

For drivers with range concerns, the REEV variants debut Dongfeng Motor's "Super-Sense" Range Extension 2.0 System, offering 308-km battery-powered range and 1,308-km combined range, while supporting 4C ultra-fast charging.

Smart features are a major highlight. The eπ007+ is the first model equipped with Dongfeng Motor's Tianyuan T200 driver assistance system, featuring Hesai Technology's ATX LiDAR and 29 perception sensors. The setup enables more than 20 advanced functions, including highway NOA (navigation-on-autopilot) and all-scenario intelligent parking.

The cabin runs the Tianyuan 2.0 intelligent cockpit system, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P chip. A 15.6-inch central display and 10.25-inch digital cluster are standard, while the voice assistant integrates both Baidu ERNIE Bot and DeepSeek large models for natural interaction.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
