Copper Cathode Rod Firms' Operating Rate Rises WoW Amid Price Dip

Last week, the operating rate of copper cathode rod enterprises was 62%, up 1.54 percentage points WoW but down 14.03 percentage points YoY. The main reason was the decline in copper prices during the week, which boosted downstream purchasing sentiment and led to a concentrated release of new orders. However, due to severe inventory buildup in the earlier period, enterprises primarily focused on consuming finished product inventories during the week, resulting in only a slight increase in the operating rate.
