






Shanghai (Gasgoo)- SAIC Motor reported robust sales for October 2025, with total vehicle wholesales reaching 453,978 units, up 12.96% year-on-year. Driven by strong momentum in its self-owned brands, new energy vehicles (NEVs), and overseas markets—the company's "three growth engines"—SAIC has now recorded ten consecutive months of year-on-year sales growth in 2025.
From January to October, the automaker sold 3,647,248 vehicles by wholesale, up 19.53% from a year earlier, while retail sales totaled around 3.834 million units. Wholesales of its self-owned brands reached around 2.35 million units during the period, up 28.3% year on year; NEV sales surged 42.47% from a year earlier to 1,289,519 units; and exports rose 2.23% from the previous year to around 862,186 units.
SAIC's self-owned marques posted strong gains across the board. In October alone, its wholly-owned brands' sales totaled 306,000 units, up 22% year-on-year. Between January and October, sales of SAIC's in-house brands surged 28.3% year-on-year to 2.35 million units, accounting for 64.4% of the company's total volume—an increase of 4.4 percentage points from the same period last year.
Breaking down the results, SAIC MOTOR Passenger Vehicle sold 93,367 units in October, up 25.06% year-on-year. SAIC MAXUS reported 19,907 units of sales, a 47.86% year-on-year leap, while SAIC-GM-Wuling—one of China's top-selling mass-market brands—sold about 167,956 units, marking a 19.54% year-on-year increase.
SAIC's NEV segment achieved another record month. The group sold 206,692 NEVs in October—its second consecutive month to hit a record high—up 31.58% year-on-year. Cumulative NEV sales for the first ten months zoomed up 42.47% from a year earlier to 1,289,519 units.
SAIC Motor's overseas operations continued their steady climb, with 97,143 vehicles sold abroad in October and 862,186 units sold in the first ten months of the year—up 2.23% year-on-year. Its MG brand maintained its strong position as the top-selling Chinese marque in Europe, with around 250,000 vehicles delivered in 2025, representing growth of more than 20%.
