[SMM Aluminum Express News] Aluminum prices surged to their highest level since May 2022, rising 0.9% to US$2,909.50 per ton on the London Metal Exchange, driven by broad-based gains in base metals and risk assets. This increase marks aluminum's strongest monthly performance in over a year, with prices climbing more than 7% in October. The rally follows eased US-China trade tensions after both nations reached a preliminary agreement, temporarily removing a major source of uncertainty for global economic growth and commodity demand.
