According to the Mining.com website, Amaroq Minerals, an independent mine developer that has long been engaged in exploration and development in Greenland, announced preliminary results from the 2025 field exploration at several peripheral deposits in southern Greenland.

These peripheral deposits are all located around the Nalunaq mine and the Nanoq advanced exploration project. Once sample analysis is completed by the end of the year, the company will announce the results.

Key Findings

Nanortalik Gold Belt

● New high-grade gold discovery at Vagar: The Qoorormiut North Ridge (QNR) ore zone extends over 2 km, with gold grades up to 28.6 g/mt. Reconnaissance drilling is now being prepared.

● Reinterpretation of Vagar Ridge: A revised understanding of the geological context indicates potential for discovering new high-grade ore bodies and has delineated targets for the next phase of drilling.

● Copper-gold discovery at Anoritooq: At Isortup Qoorua, 50 km north of Nalunaq, gold grades reached 38.7 g/mt and copper 1.87%, confirming a high-grade copper-gold zone for further work. Amaroq plans to verify the potential of Isortup Qoorua, where a large peripheral gold deposit may exist.

● New orogenic gold targets identified near the Nalunaq gold mine at Napasorsuaq, with grades of 3.58 g/mt gold and 0.54% copper.

Newly Discovered Gold Belts in Southwestern Greenland

● New discoveries at Tartoq & Ippatit: Gold-bearing quartz veins were found in previously undocumented areas of the Nanortalik gold belt, near the Nanoq project, with grades of 3.1 g/mt (Tartoq) and 0.7 g/mt (Ippatit).

● New quartz vein-type gold discovery at Grænseland, grading 3.9 g/mt, striking 500 meters, and with thicknesses ranging from 0.5 to 2 meters.

Regional Work Progress

Over 540 samples were collected within 11 mining license areas, confirming multiple gold belts and validating previous discoveries.
