【Anhui 75,000-Ton Lithium Battery Recycling Project Launched】
Recently, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Hefei City, Anhui Province, officially announced a significant environmental initiative—the acceptance and public disclosure of the 'Annual Processing of 75,000 Tons of Lithium Battery Materials Recycling Project' by a local company. The plan involves constructing three large production workshops and supporting facilities, and introducing various advanced production equipment including crushers, vibrating screens, and grinding machines. Additionally, a dedicated production line for battery cell crushing, three anode sheet regeneration processing lines, and one cathode sheet regeneration processing line will be established. Upon full completion and operation, the project is expected to annually process approximately 75,000 tons of various waste lithium iron phosphate/ternary lithium battery cells and their associated components.
【Shanxi Taiyuan 8,000 Modules/Year Cascade Utilization Project Announced】
Recently, the Administrative Examination and Approval Service Administration of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, officially publicized the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment documents for the 'New Energy Lithium Battery Cascade Utilization Project' by a local company, marking an imminent important step in its green transformation. The project involves a total investment of 76.0096 million yuan and will be implemented in phases. The first phase focuses on the pre-treatment and dismantling of end-of-life vehicles, with a designed dismantling capacity of 20,000 vehicles per year, laying a solid foundation for subsequent resource utilization. The second phase delves deeper into key areas such as testing, reassembly, and cascade utilization of new energy power batteries, with an expected testing and packaging capacity of 8,000 modules per year.
【400,000-Ton Waste Power Battery Resource Recycling Project Commences Operation】
Recently, the 'Annual Processing of 400,000 Tons of Waste Power Battery Resource Recycling Project' undertaken by a Hunan-based company was completed and put into operation. It is reported that this project commenced construction in 2024, with a total investment of 185 million yuan and a site area of 33,300 square meters.
【450,000-Ton Battery Raw Material and Material Supply Agreement Announced】
Company A recently announced the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement for the supply of advanced battery raw materials and materials with Company B.
The announcement indicated that both parties have agreed to establish a long-term partnership for the raw material supply chain of products such as ternary materials, lithium cobalt oxide, solid-state lithium battery materials, semi-solid-state lithium battery materials, and lithium-rich manganese-based materials used in lithium batteries for consumer electronics, power applications, low-altitude aircraft, eVTOL, AI, robotics, and other fields.
【60,000-Ton Waste Lithium Battery Project Breaks Ground】
On October 28, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in Huojia County for Company C's annual recycling and utilization project of 60,000 tons of waste new energy power batteries. It is reported that this project, with an estimated investment of 120 million yuan, covers an area of 30 mu. It involves the construction of 15,000 square meters of new workshops, offices, and auxiliary facilities, and the establishment of 10 new energy power battery dismantling lines. The construction period is expected to be 15 months. Upon completion, the project will be capable of recycling and utilizing 60,000 tons of various new energy power batteries annually and is expected to create 30 new jobs.
【60 GWh Battery Production Base Expansion Project Publicized】
Recently, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Yanzhou District, Jining City, Shandong Province, intends to issue examination opinions regarding the environmental impact assessment document for the 'Phase II Expansion of the Shandong New Energy Battery Industrial Base Project' by Company D. The Phase II expansion of this project obtained the Shandong Provincial Construction Project Filing Certificate on January 24, 2025. The construction content and scale involve utilizing existing workshops, purchasing coating machines, winding machines, and other equipment. The raw materials are NCM & LFP, using wet coating production technology and processes. The main energy-consuming equipment includes coating machines, high-efficiency slurry preparation machines, capacity testing machines, and formation machines. The project aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 60 GWh of lithium battery products, with a total investment of 3,545 million yuan.
【Lithium Battery Recycling Project Launched in Heilongjiang】
Recently, the People's Government of Hegang City released information regarding the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment documents for the city's waste lithium battery recycling project. The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase I involves building one waste lithium battery processing production line with an annual processing capacity of 6,000 tons (including 5,000 tons/year of waste ternary lithium batteries and 1,000 tons/year of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries). Phase II involves constructing five production lines within the workshop: three waste cathode sheet processing lines and two waste anode sheet processing lines.

Recently, the 'Annual Processing of 400,000 Tons of Waste Power Battery Resource Recycling Project' undertaken by a Hunan-based company was completed and put into operation. It is reported that this project commenced construction in 2024, with a total investment of 185 million yuan and a site area of 33,300 square meters. Through advanced pre-treatment and separation extraction processes, it performs refined dismantling and standardized utilization of waste power batteries.
【50,000-Ton Lithium Battery Recycling Project Planned in Inner Mongolia】
Recently, the government website of Horqin Left Rear Banner released the first public participation information regarding the environmental impact assessment for the 'Lithium Battery and Waste Electrical Equipment Recycling and Resource Utilization Project' by Company E. The project will be constructed in three phases. Phase I involves building a lithium battery cascade utilization production line and a lithium battery crushing and sorting recycling production line, with an annual processing capacity of 30,000 tons for cascade batteries and 20,000 tons for crushing, sorting, and recycling. Phase II involves constructing a waste photovoltaic panel production line with an annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons. Phase III involves constructing a waste wind turbine blade production line with an annual processing capacity of 20,000 tons.
【10,000+ Ton High-end Fluorinated Fine Chemicals Project Publicized】
Recently, the Weihai Ecological Environment Bureau announced details regarding the capacity expansion project for high-end fluorinated fine chemicals by Company F. The proposed project covers an area of approximately 32 mu. It will utilize two existing workshops along with their outdoor installations and attached control rooms/power distribution rooms, and add new construction area of 6,974.5 square meters, including one new workshop and its outdoor installations. New facilities include a circulating cooling water and refrigeration system, a new ethylene storage tank group equipped with two ethylene storage tanks and an ethylene vaporizer, two trifluoropropylene storage tanks, two trifluoroethanol storage tanks, and related supporting facilities. Approximately 468 units (sets) of equipment will be purchased, while other public and auxiliary facilities will rely on the company's existing infrastructure.
【3,000-Ton Fluorinated Coolant Project Acceptance Publicized】
On October 21, the Nanping Ecological Environment Bureau accepted and publicized the environmental impact report for the Electronic Coolant Construction Project by Company G. The project involves adding two new production workshops and a pilot plant, aiming to achieve new annual production capacities of 1,000 tons each of perfluorotripropylamine, perfluorotributylamine, and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. The construction includes buildings for various product production workshops, the pilot plant, a laboratory building, auxiliary rooms, a Category A warehouse, a hardware warehouse, a storage yard, tank farms, an emergency collection pond, an initial rainwater collection pond, etc., and will be equipped with various production and auxiliary equipment.
