【SMM Steel】The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission announced its final negative determination in the anti-circumvention investigation on steel rod in coil from China on October 27. The Minister for Industry and Science accepted the recommendation to maintain existing anti-dumping measures unchanged. Launched on May 9, 2024 at InfraBuild's request, the probe examined whether Chinese steel rod in coil was being minimally processed into mesh sheets with carbon content ≤0.20% (HS code 7314.20.00.24) to circumvent current AD duties on steel rod in coil (HS codes 7213.91.00.44 and 7227.90.90.02). The final ruling confirmed no circumvention was found.
