Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 29, XPENG MONA announced that its first model, the MONA M03, had rolled off its 200,000th unit—an impressive milestone achieved just 14 months after hitting the market.

By late September, XPENG MONA had already delivered 180,000 units of the M03. With production now in full swing, it has completed preparations for its next phase—exporting the model to markets across the Middle East and Africa.

The M03 is the debut model under XPENG's mass-market MONA series, going on sale on August 27, 2024, with deliveries starting a month later. Priced between 119,800 yuan and 155,800 yuan, the electric fastback quickly captured the market’s attention—racking up over 10,000-unit firm orders within 52 minutes of launch and surpassing 30,000 within the first 48 hours.

In May this year, XPENG expanded the M03 lineup with four new variants: the 515 km Long Range Plus, 620 km Ultra Long Range Plus, 502 km Long Range Max, and 600 km Ultra Long Range Max. These were priced from 119,800 yuan to 139,800 yuan, broadening the model's appeal within China's competitive compact BEV segment.

The 502 km and 600 km variants—both branded as "Max" editions—boast higher-level intelligent configurations. Priced around 130,000 yuan, they come equipped with dual NVIDIA Orin-X chips.

At the heart of the Max series is XPENG's in-house developed "Turing AI System," which integrates two Orin-X chips delivering a combined computing power of 508 TOPS—underpinning the model's advanced assisted driving capabilities.

The M03 Max also pioneers XPENG's "human-AI co-driving" concept. During NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot) operation, the system does not disengage when the driver intervenes, nor does the AI forcibly take over control—ensuring seamless collaboration between human and machine. This design addresses one of the biggest challenges in assisted driving: the uncertainty of control transitions.

The M03 Max offers 502 km and 600 km range options, while the Plus variants deliver 515 km and 620 km, providing a broad range of choices for different driving needs.
