Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 28, BYD's DENZA officially put the DENZA N8L model onto the market, introducing two trims priced between 299,800 yuan and 329,800 yuan. To celebrate the launch, the brand is also offering a limited-time purchase package valued at up to 106,700 yuan, including a range of exclusive ownership benefits.
The N8L debuts DENZA's latest design language, giving the SUV a more futuristic and tech-forward appearance. At the front, the model features a split headlight setup with sleek LED daytime running lights that emphasize a bold, aggressive look. A large blacked-out lower grille adds a sporty edge. Buyers can choose from six exterior colors.
From the side, the DENZA N8L showcases a strong and upright stance, accentuated by a sharp shoulder line running the length of the vehicle. A gently sloping roofline paired with darkened window trims creates the impression of a floating roof. The flush door handles and 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels further enhance its premium, modern aesthetic. At the rear, the slim, full-width taillights provide high visual recognition when illuminated, while the roof spoiler and sculpted bumper add a sense of depth and dynamism.
The SUV measures 5,200 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm.
Inside, the DENZA N8L blends luxury with advanced digital technology. The cabin centers around a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel with dedicated controls for driver-assistance activation. A 13.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a massive 50-inch augmented-reality head-up display deliver key driving information in a futuristic format. The front console features a 17.3-inch floating infotainment screen that connects seamlessly with a 13.2-inch passenger display, enhancing interactivity and entertainment.
For rear passengers, a ceiling-mounted 17.3-inch entertainment screen adjustable between 90° and 110° transforms the back rows into a private theater. Combined with a 20-speaker Devialet audio system, twin folding tables in the second row, a tri-door refrigerator adjustable from –6°C to 50°C, and retractable sunshades, the N8L provides a refined, lounge-like experience for all occupants.
The N8L adopts a 2+2+2 six-seat configuration, with all three rows equipped with power-adjustable seats. The driver's seat offers eight-way adjustment, ventilation, and heating. The front passenger seat features a "zero-gravity" recline of up to 145 degrees, six-way adjustment, and heating, along with a segmented leg rest for enhanced comfort.
Second-row passengers enjoy heated seats, a ten-point massage function, and an electrically extendable leg rest on the right-hand seat. Hidden storage compartments under the seats provide convenient space for small items like slippers or tissues. The third-row backrests can recline up to 121 degrees and include three levels of seat heating for added comfort on long journeys.
In terms of driver's assistance capability, every N8L comes standard with DENZA's DiPilot 300 advanced driver-assistance system (LiDAR Edition). The system is powered by a next-generation end-to-end AI model and features a roof-mounted LiDAR unit, 12 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. An NVIDIA Orin chip with 254 TOPS of computing power enables highway and urban navigation assist, as well as valet parking functions.
Built on DENZA's e3 tech platform, the N8L combines a dedicated 2.0T high-efficiency engine with a tri-motor PHEV-dedicated system. The engine alone produces 152 kW, while the combined system output reaches 560 kW, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The model uses BYD's signature Blade Battery optimized for PHEV applications, delivering up to 230 km of battery-powered CLTC range and a total combined range of 1,300 km.
