US aerospace and defense contractor Lockheed Martin agreed to purchase 25% of the future output from the Syerston scandium mine in New South Wales owned by Sunrise Energy Metals (SEM). The president of SEM was Robert Friedland.
This offtake agreement, which could last for five years, required qualification and testing procedures to finalize the formal terms, but it marked the third major achievement for ASX-listed SEM this month.
