Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 23, RoboSense and ASENSING announced a strategic partnership that will bring together their respective strengths in LiDAR perception and precision inertial navigation to jointly develop multimodal sensor fusion solutions. The collaboration aims to enhance robotic sensing capabilities in complex environments and accelerate large-scale adoption of embodied intelligence and industrial robotics applications.

RoboSense CEO Mark Qiu said the company has built a full-stack ecosystem—spanning hardware, software, and integration—to create the "eyes of robots" and drive mass commercialization of intelligent robotic technologies. He noted that by combining RoboSense's leading sensing expertise with ASENSING's positioning technologies, the two companies aim to deliver more efficient and reliable robotic perception systems. "We look forward to working with ASENSING to build a safer and smarter future of human–robot coexistence," Qiu added.

ASENSING CEO and Chief Product Officer Pia Hu described the company as a pioneer in spatiotemporal sensing technologies, having developed a complete technology stack that spans from chips and modules to full systems. She said this foundation serves as a "physical AI base" for robots and intelligent devices. "Together with RoboSense, we will fuse multimodal sensor data to create more accurate and dependable sensory systems for robots, enabling them to achieve truly intelligent, all-scenario operations," Hu said.

RoboSense is an AI-driven robotics company that provides key components and system-level solutions for the global robotics industry. Leveraging its full-stack capabilities in chip design and digital architecture, the company has achieved comprehensive in-house integration of core LiDAR modules—from laser emission and reception to scanning and data processing—forming one of the industry's most complete digital LiDAR product portfolios. With its strong performance, stability, and high level of integration, RoboSense's technologies have been deployed at scale across robotics and autonomous driving sectors, with global shipments exceeding one million units. The company continues to invest heavily in next-generation robotic vision technologies, positioning itself as the creator of the "robot"s eye" to enhance environmental perception and operational intelligence across diverse mobility and automation scenarios.

ASENSING specializes in spatiotemporal sensing technologies, offering a range of high-precision positioning and attitude sensors alongside integrated hardware–software solutions. Its automotive-grade high-performance IMU chips have been deployed in mass-production vehicles, featuring exceptional precision, safety, and reliability. Utilizing advanced MEMS design and low-stress ceramic hermetic packaging with temperature compensation, ASENSING's IMU chips maintain stability and accuracy across wide temperature ranges and long operational lifespans. The company's IMU modules, fully calibrated and equipped with self-diagnostic functions, ensure high stability and precise time synchronization for multisensor data correlation. Its P-Box system integrates proprietary IMU and GNSS modules with RTK/PPP-RTK technologies and a multi-source fusion algorithm, delivering centimeter-level accuracy in position, attitude, and velocity even under challenging conditions.

Looking ahead, RoboSense and ASENSING plan to further deepen their collaboration in robotic perception and positioning technologies. By combining their complementary strengths, the two companies aim to lay a stronger technological foundation for embodied intelligence and industrial robotics, driving the broader adoption and diversification of intelligent robot applications worldwide.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
