Sodium-Ion Battery Market Stable Amid Challenges, Orders Set to Recover
iconOct 23, 2025 14:23
The sodium-ion battery market remained stable this week. Earlier, some battery cell manufacturers encountered issues with their products, which may have fallen short of expectations in terms of low-temperature and C-rate performance. This led to a reduction in orders, with a noticeable decline in September and October compared to previous months. Orders are expected to recover in November. At the same time, it is important to note that the core challenge in the sodium-ion battery industry currently lies in balancing "mass production advancement" with "technological optimization and cost control." The NFPP cathode route needs to address application issues and capacity stability, hard carbon anodes must achieve breakthroughs in full-chain production capabilities and raw material substitution, and battery cells need to narrow the cost gap and accumulate application experience.
