Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 22, smartphone maker HONOR and automaker BYD signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen, marking the start of a deep partnership centered on intelligent mobility. The two companies plan to integrate HONOR's connected vehicle solutions with BYD’s next-generation DiLink smart ecosystem to create user-centric, intelligent, and highly personalized mobility experiences.

According to the companies, the partnership will advance along three main fronts: technological integration, ecosystem collaboration, and joint marketing.

In technology and product development, HONOR and BYD will deepen cooperation in cross-device ecosystem fusion, AI Agent integration, and high-precision Bluetooth digital key technology to accelerate innovation.

In ecosystem and user engagement, the partners will build a "shared product and data" collaboration model leveraging HONOR's vehicle connectivity capabilities and BYD's smart ecosystem. This will enable platform-level interoperability and enhanced customer benefits across both brands.

In communication and outreach, the two will coordinate joint marketing campaigns around key launch events—such as new vehicle and smartphone releases—while exploring creative, multi-channel engagement strategies to reach a broader user base.

At the signing ceremony, Li Jian, CEO of Honor Device Co., Ltd., said the collaboration marks a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two brands in the AI era, with smart mobility as a key focus area. He emphasized that HONOR and BYD will work closely on joint technology development, industrial complementarity, and ecosystem building to deliver seamless, intelligent, and premium mobility experiences—creating what he described as "a new paradigm for smart living."

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
