Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On the evening of October 22, ECARX announced a strategic partnership with Victory Giant Technology to jointly develop next-generation automotive computing platforms.

The collaboration will integrate Victory Giant Technology's advanced printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing capabilities with ECARX's intelligent innovation and manufacturing ecosystem, aiming to deliver cutting-edge, high-performance computing platforms and accelerate the global rollout of advanced automotive technologies.

Victory Giant Technology specializes in high-density interconnect (HDI) and multilayer board technologies. Its products are widely used across fast-growing sectors including smart vehicles, artificial intelligence, and data centers. With overseas production facilities in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, the company has established a global supply network that serves more than 350 technology enterprises, maintaining a leading position in the market for AI computing servers and related hardware.

As the automotive industry rapidly transitions toward centralized computing architectures that integrate artificial intelligence functions, demand for high-performance computing platforms has surged—raising the bar for manufacturing precision and reliability. In response, ECARX has developed a comprehensive lineup of advanced computing platforms that offer global automakers a diverse range of options. The company has already secured multiple international production designations for these systems.

To support the complexity of modern computing systems, the PCBs used in high-end automotive computing platforms must meet exceptionally high standards in layer design, material selection, manufacturing precision, reliability, automotive-grade compliance, and production yield. These rigorous requirements ensure ECARX's products maintain stability and compliance during large-scale global deployment.

Under the new agreement, the two companies will combine Victory Giant Technology's strengths in precision manufacturing with ECARX's technological innovation and integrated production capabilities. Using Victory Giant's high-quality PCB products as a foundation, ECARX will complete the final system integration through its global smart manufacturing centers, paving the way for mass production of high-end computing platforms.

The partnership will encompass end-to-end strategic collaboration—from early-stage technology development to mass production and delivery—targeting large-scale deployment for global automakers. The companies also plan to extend their joint technological expertise to other emerging industries, further expanding the impact of their collaboration beyond the automotive sector.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
