Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 16, 2025, Leapmotor held the global debut of its all-new flagship model, the D19, in Shanghai. Built on the company's flagship D platform, the D19 is positioned as a technologically advanced premium SUV and will be offered in both REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) and BEV (battery electric vehicle) versions.
As the first model developed on the D platform, the D19 introduces Leapmotor's "Tech-Natural Aesthetics 2.0" design philosophy. The approach combines intelligent technology with a refined sense of natural simplicity — focusing on user-centered innovation while maintaining calm, organic proportions inspired by nature.
Measuring over 5.2 meters in length, nearly 2 meters in width, and with a wheelbase exceeding 3.1 meters, the D19 embodies the stature and composure expected of a flagship SUV. Its front fascia, called the "Cosmic Realm," features a continuous "Skyline" light strip above a wide lower grille that forms a strong "Horizon" base. The model also includes an Active Grille Shutter system that adjusts airflow according to driving conditions for optimal efficiency.
The Leapmotor D19 is available in five nature-inspired color options: Pine Green, Optical White, Liquid Silver, Sky Grey, and Metallic Black.
Technologically, the D19 embodies six key innovations made possible by the D platform, marking a major leap forward for Leapmotor's intelligent vehicle lineup.
The REEV version is powered by an 80.3 kWh CATL battery featuring Leapmotor's first implementation of CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) technology dedicated to REEVs, paired with an 800V fast-charging system that delivers over 500 km of battery-powered range (CLTC). The BEV variant uses a 115 kWh CATL mixed-cell battery, achieving a CLTC range exceeding 700 km. Thanks to its 1000V high-voltage architecture, a 15-minute charge can replenish more than 350 km of driving range, offering a balance of endurance and rapid energy replenishment.
In terms of intelligence, the Leapmotor D19 carries dual Qualcomm 8797 chips, delivering 1,280 TOPS of computing power — enabling both a next-generation AI-powered smart cockpit and advanced VLA assisted driving functions. The SUV features a tri-motor vector control system that enables 0–100 km/h acceleration in around three seconds, rivaling supercar performance. Structural rigidity reaches 50,500 N·m/deg, supported by dual-chamber air suspension, CDC dampers, predictive chassis control, and LMC 2.0 with dual-tire blowout stability and a tight 3.6-meter turning radius — all ensuring an agile yet composed driving experience.
Inside, the new model debuts the industry's first "Forest Oxygen Cabin," which uses automotive-grade vacuum pressure swing adsorption technology to generate up to 8 liters of oxygen per minute. The system supports both cabin-wide and nasal oxygen delivery, helping passengers stay comfortable during high-altitude drives or long journeys.
