Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In the first three quarters of 2025, Geely Holding Group posted an impressive set of results, with total sales reaching 2,953,452 million vehicles, up 29% year-on-year. Sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) surged 68% from a year earlier to 1,590,866 million units, lifting the group's overall NEV penetration rate to 54%.
Notably, Geely's third-quarter sales exceeded one million units for the first time, with NEVs accounting for 58% of that total. The record-setting quarter underscores the company's accelerating momentum in electrification and intelligent vehicle technologies—achievements made even more remarkable against a backdrop of slowing overall industry growth.
NEV models have now become the primary growth engine within Geely's overall sales structure.
Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile") sold 2,170,189 vehicles in the first nine months of the year, a 46% increase from the same period last year. Of these, NEV sales more than doubled—up 114% to 1,167,823 units. The group's three key sub-brands—Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr—all reported rapid growth during the period.
Geely Galaxy led the charge, with sales soaring 206% year-on-year to 875,000 units in the Jan.-Sept. period, making it the group's main growth driver. Lynk & Co delivered over 240,000 vehicles, up 24% from last year, reinforcing its steady climb toward a more premium market position. Zeekr, the group's high-end electric vehicle brand, delivered more than 140,000 vehicles, further solidifying its reputation as a luxury tech-oriented marque.
Geely Holding also made notable progress in the high-value vehicle segment. Newly launched models such as the Lynk & Co 900, Galaxy M9, and Zeekr 9X quickly gained traction in their respective categories, highlighting the automaker's growing success in its upmarket strategy. The Zeekr 9X, in particular, received more than 10,000 units of orders within 13 minutes of launch. Roughly 80% of buyers were upgrading from other premium brands, and 70% owned vehicles priced above 500,000 yuan—an indication of rising consumer recognition of Geely's premium offerings.
In overseas markets, Geely exported nearly 300,000 vehicles during the first three quarters, with the share of NEV exports steadily increasing. In September alone, NEV exports reached 14,631 units, accounting for 36% of total shipments. The Geely Starry EM-i made its debut in Australia, the Zeekr 7X entered the UAE, and Lynk & Co expanded into the Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland—signaling Geely's growing presence and acceptance in mainstream global markets.
