Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 10, Geely Auto officially put the refreshed version of its Xingyuan (translating to Star Wish) all-electric vehicle model onto the market, rolling out six variants priced between 68,800 yuan and 98,800 yuan. For a limited time, buyers can enjoy promotional prices from 65,800 yuan to 95,800 yuan. To mark the launch, Geely Auto is also offering several incentive packages for new owners.

Design-wise, the refreshed Xingyuan retains much of its predecessor's silhouette but introduces subtle refinements for a more contemporary appeal. The front adopts a closed-off grille, a popular design cue among electric vehicles, with smooth, rounded lines that create a cohesive and friendly appearance. The car's "Feather Wing" headlights and vibrant body colors further enhance its youthful aesthetic. At the rear, the triangular taillights with rounded edges mirror the front design language, offering a distinctive lighting signature when illuminated.

The updated Xingyuan also debuts two new paint options — Chanson Purple and Cocoa Beige — both available at no extra cost during the launch period. Buyers can further choose from a lively palette that includes Basil Green, Icy Berry Pink, Vanilla Cream, Milk Foam White, Sea Salt Blue, Truffle Gray, and Mousse Silver, underscoring the car's vibrant and youthful positioning.

Inside, the modified Xingyuan follows a minimalist cabin philosophy, concentrating most functions within the central touchscreen interface. A two-spoke steering wheel and ambient lighting across the passenger side contribute to a clean, futuristic atmosphere. The model is equipped with Amap 750 navigation, seamless smartphone connectivity, dual-zone voice interaction, a soft-light vanity mirror, and 50W air-cooled wireless fast charging, catering to the tech-savvy demands of younger urban drivers.

Built on Geely's GEA, the upgraded Xingyuan features a rear-mounted single electric motor with two output options — 58kW and 85kW. Every variant uses CATL's battery cells with a liquid-cooled thermal management system, delivering a range of 310km or 410km, depending on configuration.

Since its debut in October last year, the Geely Xingyuan has quickly surpassed a monthly delivery volume of 400,000 units. The latest refreshed model enhances both styling and equipment, while the aggressive limited-time pricing further strengthens its competitiveness. With these updates, Geely aims to sustain the Xingyuan's strong momentum and potentially set new sales volume records in China's crowded EV market.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
